Our guesthouse is situated at the edge of the ‘Noordense Plassen’ (Noorden Lakes area), which is a beautiful nature area at the centre of ‘het Groene Hart’ (which means the Green Heart) of the Netherlands. The Noordense Plassen area is particularly suitable for water sports like canoeing, rowing and SUP boarding. If you wish to rent a whisper boat, canoe or SUP-board you can go to Nikano, which is located about 800 meters from our guesthouse. There’s also the possibility to go sports fishing at ‘het Plashuis’, which is located at only 300 meters distance.
Just a short walk away (about 10 minutes) from our guesthouse you will find ‘de Groene Jonker’. This is a beautiful and quiet nature reserve, which is great for hiking and bird watching.
The area around our guesthouse is very popular for its many walking and cycling routes. Our guesthouse in ‘het Groene Hart’ is a perfect location if you wish tranquillity and relaxation.
Only 3 kilometres away you will find the village Nieuwkoop. A tourist information office is located at the edge of the village, which can provide you with all the necessary information about your stay in the area.
There are several cafes, restaurants and terraces in the villages Noorden and Nieuwkoop, where you can relax after an active day. Only 800 metres from the guesthouse you will find café ‘De Klinker’ and ‘Bistrobar ‘t Leeuwtje’, both with a spacious, sunny terrace. A large supermarket and bakery are located at only 500 metres distance.
